Do you ever go through the ups and downs of hitting your best month, then the next month you’re almost in the red or half of what you made the previous month? Let me tell you what I keep seeing in my community!

A founder makes one month $50K+; she is excited, she screenshots the dashboard. She feels like she finally cracked the matrix code. I know some of you have been there!

Then the next month comes in at $19K. ⬇️

And the month after that, $52K. Then $21K. That is an insane rollercoaster.

From the outside, her business looks successful. Privately, she is exhausted trying to figure out which number is actually her. I know this too well because I was that person.

Your best month was not proof you figured it out. It was proof you are capable. Those are very different things.

The spike showed you what is possible. The dip showed you what is missing.

And here is what most founders do: they spend all their energy trying to recreate the spike. They replay everything they did that month. The launch. The email sequence. The ad creative. They try to reverse-engineer the same conditions.

Let me show you what I mean.

When your revenue looks like $45K - $18K - $52K - $21K, that is not inconsistency in effort. You are working just as hard in the $18K months. Probably harder, because you are panicking.

  • No recurring revenue layer — every dollar re-earned from scratch each month

  • Cash flow managed by feeling, not forecasting

  • Ad spend paused the moment revenue dips

  • Decisions made from scarcity, not strategy

When those four things are missing, your best month is always a preview. Never a baseline.

A preview disappears when the conditions that created it change. A launch ends. A client does not renew. A campaign stops converting. You are left holding the memory of what it felt like, wondering why you cannot get back there.

While this 100% feels like a rollercoaster, it’s safe to say it is not a revenue problem but a visibility problem. You cannot stabilize what you cannot see.

Because the most important shift you can make right now is not a new strategy or a better funnel. It is getting clear on what is actually capping your growth. Not what you think is capping it. What is actually doing it. Those are often very different things.

When was the last time you had a month that held — and what was structurally different about your business that month? Not what you did. What was in place.
