Yesterday, we celebrated Mother’s Day here in the U.S.—a day filled with emotion, reflection, and, yes… marketing. And while soaking in the beauty of the day, I had a realization:
Mother’s Day is a masterclass in funnel strategy (my brain operates on coffee and funnel data 🥹).
It perfectly illustrates what a thriving funnel looks like—and just as importantly, what’s often missing from so many funnels I’ve reviewed.
Whether you’re using paid ads or organic strategies, the framework is the same:
👉 Audience → Message → Conversion Event
Let me break it down for you:
Audience: Who are you here to serve or connect with?
Message: How are you nurturing them—through value-driven content, education, or meaningful storytelling? (missing from 90% of funnels I’ve audited).
Conversion Event: What’s the action you want them to take—shop, book, register, buy?
Now think about this past weekend—every business, regardless of industry, crafted a version of this:
➡️ They told YOU (the audience)…
➡️ WHY their product or service (the message)…
➡️ Would make Mother’s Day unforgettable (the conversion).
Here’s the kicker: If even one of those pieces is missing in your funnel—your results will suffer.
